Arndt Roehlig was the man suffering with MS in the last article that I featured. Through that website I was able to contact him and we worked out an interview. The interview was through e-mail so I feel that my questions were a bit vague. The information I received was great though. I hope to have more interviews like this with other patients receiving stem cell treatment. These treatments are not available in the US or Canada (where Roehlig's from) so I was very curious about the conditions of the hospital. I was glad but a little surprised to hear that the hospital was "very professional and clean." Everything that I've heard about hospitals in the Middle East stereotypes them to be the exact opposite of Roehlig's description.
He also mentioned a quote by Dr.Slavin when I asked him what helped him make his decision to go through with the stem cell treatment. What is Dr. Slavin's quote? Who is he, and what significance is he in developing stem cell treatments? I think that finding information on Dr.Slavin would be something worthwhile and would help with my research. I thought it was excellent that Roehlig's symptoms have diminished by 90%! That's really quite something. I'm interested in the results other people have had with their stem cell treatments. Learning about their experiences would be a good way to compare and develop a basis for how well the therapies seem to be working. I'm very pleased that I was able to interview Roehlig and I hope to have a few more follow up interviews to get more in depth with the questions and information I learned about.
