After reading the blog entry in it’s entirety, I can say how interesting it was to watch the authors knowledge and opinions grow and change as the writings progressed. I felt as if even though I, as learning about the vast subject of stem cell research and all it entails, the author was also learning right along with me. Her personal progression was just as interesting as the blog itself. The topic is fascinating and could and may potentially affect all of us in one way or another in our lifetime.
The interview was the most impressive of all the aspects of the blog. It gave the blog a personal approach not just a researchers perspective or interested party but a human element.
Emily’s blog was educational, informative and interesting. I wanted to read more when I was finished with her final entry. That is a sure sign of a solid topic and skilled writer. The only errors I found were it was hard to read with the changes to the font. I also found some minor spelling errors but they were minimal considering the length and number of entries in the blog. She clearly feels passionate about this topic and that took over which perhaps lead to the errors. I found that most errors mentioned were corrected, like the consistency of the font, in her newer entries.
Perhaps one suggestion I have for Emily is to give definitions to words or medical terms used immediately in the blog when used, maybe within parenthesis directly following the term or word.
