Michaela's parents have been immersed in Michaela's condition and the medical needs that come with it since Michaela's birth. They're highly knowledgeable about the medical care that Michaela has received. They're support for stem cell therapy is incredible, and I wish them the best of luck.

Response: Stem Cell Therapy Michaela Rodrigues 11
This article comes from a subscription I get sent to my e-mail. It's the Stem Cell Institute's subscription. They were re-capping, in this months edition, some of the most amazing stories that they've received this year. Michaela's story was amazing. The majority of the article was written by her parents. They gave their opinions on what the stem cell therapy has done for Michaela's health. Both parents are thrilled with the results. For Michaela to be able to stand is remarkable. They highly accredit this success to the stem cell injections Michaela has been receiving. I found this article to be a great read. It was from the perspective of someone dealing with stem cell therapy first hand. They're calling the shots for Michaela's treatments. The article was refreshing in comparison to other articles I've read that are just from an outside source retelling a story.
Notes: Stem Cell Therapy Michaela Rodrigues 11
Michaela Rodrigues is the only surviving twin who was born 16 weeks premature.
She suffers from cerebral palsy. Her condition was caused by too much oxygen and steroids in her system when she was first born and this led to some of her neurons being blocked.
The affects this has had on her include...
• she has difficulty holding onto objects. Her hands lock when holding and object, and holding onto anything makes her limbs shake. However with concentration she can stop the shaking.
• Michaela has a weak torso and requires support to keep her upright.
• Being startled also triggers her legs to shake.
• If she's left alone in her bed she will shake and turn over, face in the pillow, and not be able to turn back up without aide.
After recieving stem cells through an IV and stem cells through spinal injection, Just days after receiving the treatments Michaela was able to stand with both feet flat on the ground and also sit comfortably in a wheel chair for the first time ever.
Doctors had advised that Michaela received many drugs, Deep Brian Simulation, Botox, and Intrathecal Baclofen Pump to help with her condition. Michaela's parents, Wendy and Christopher, believe that if they had gone through with these treatments Michaela would be in worse shape than she is now. Both parents highly recommend that other parents of disabled children look into stem cell therapy for their children.
