Second Peer Blog Response

Your notes were very good, if a bit brief. The interview was really good (especially for an email interview, those can be difficult). You really seem to be learning a lot and you appear to be very open to different opinions.

Your responses are very well done. There were a few typos, but nothing major. (Make sure you spell response correctly!) I like how you came back to questions and points that you made in earlier posts and tied it all together. Everything came together very neatly. Obviously, this is a hard topic because of the vocabulary and the science involved. You seem to be coping with that quite well, but I think it would be beneficial if you explained some of the terms more and really got acquainted with the topic.

As I said, everything is really coming together. You seem very interested in this topic, and because of that the blog is interesting to read. I like how you drew politics in, I think that it would be interesting to expand on that so that you focus equally on the political, scientific and social aspects of stem cell research.

The writing for the interview was hard to read, as the others said, but apart from that the blog was very easy to read. Your layout is reasonably professional, which is nice. I think it would be good to have all of the fonts the same size. There was some variation in the text which was disconcerting. Your citation is beautiful.

Great job.

As a general, you seem to be on track with your research but the following are some thoughts to consider:
You seem to know where to find strong, detailed and accurate information, yet your notes on this information are varied in quality. In some notes you are very considerate to detail and go into great depth about the topic; it feels as though one had read the article by the end of them. Whilst in other notes you come across as a little uninterested for you lack much detail. Just try to stay with the greater depth. Your responses tend to be a tad inconsistent as well. In some, you simply restate your notes wit some added detail (which should have been in the notes in the first place) while in others you go on only about your opinions on the matter at hand with out backing them up with facts from the notes. Try to combine your opinions with the facts to make your points more clear. As I have already said, you know where to look for your information. Your interview was detailed and thoughtful, and all your other resources are strong as well. Its nice that you make it so obvious what you are learning, if you have an interest in this filed, you are certainly well along the way to understanding it. So far, you have only reviewed several different types of stem cells, but can you compare them? You seem a little conflicted with your opinions on this issue, can you go into more depth about how each type of treatment effects this? Finally, your blog is well organized and easy to read, but a little dull on the edges, perhaps a brighter or fuller background color would make it more appealing. Also, the red text in your interview is challenging to read.

The notes you took were very informative, but they weer also breif. The information given in the notes was all valid and good information, there just was not much of it. The only suggestion that I have is to provide more information in your notes.
Your responces were very well written and contained alot of information and thoughts. They all had a lot of depth and it was clear that much thought was put into them. Some insights that I gained from the responses was your opinion on certain topics, such as hESC's. I think that the responses would be stronger if you put more opinions in them.
It is very clear that your thoughts are developing throughout your blog posting. For example, you took notes on the man who used his own stemcells, and then the next set of notes was an interview. I thought that the interview was a great idea and provided some good information onj the topic. I believe that the author is learing all about stem cell research and stem cell expirements. You should explore more in the field of politics because I'm sure that there is plenty happining to try to changes laws and that sort of thing.
There is definite connections between the articles posted. I think that more background information would be helpful not only to the reader but to the author. You posted that you did not know alot about stem cell research and I think that more background information would help you.
There are no visual aids in any of your posts. The colors are easy to read, except for the red used in the interview. All of the citations are complete.
The titles are all correct and the blog posts are complete. There are not any extra entries in the blog.
