Response: Interview with Dr.Slavin 16

I can't say how excited I am to have had the opportunity to interview Prof. Shimon Slavin. He is a pioneer in stem cell research and developed stem cell therapies that are used world wide. His efforts are changing many lives and are even going as far as treating cancer and other conditions. This interview has changed my opinion, once again on hESCs. I believe I'm going to have to change my thesis once more to accommodate my new opinion. I'm not saying I think hESCs are bad. I just don't think they are as wonderful as I had begun to perceive them. I'm grateful for this interview and respect Prof. Slavin's opinions. My interpretation of his response to the question about hESCs is that he doesn't approve of their usage, that he thinks poorly of the doctors who use them. Prof. Slavin does not think hESCs are safe to use and all doctors who use them are endangering their patients. My opinion now is that hESCs are going to become a valuable form of medicine, but for right now, stem cells will do fine and we shouldn't push hESCs until they are completely safe if we don't have too.
